I’m impressed. We’re really cranking out the WUs, and I’m sure we’ll get more in the next several days as our teammates get their new GPUs online. It’s kind of h ard to believe that just two days ago I was celebrating finally hitting the 1M credit barrier, and now, just two days later, I’ve doubled that amount and finally moved up from 16th place.

Any guesses about when we’ll break into the top 1000 teams? Or when we break 100M on the Grand Score? Will the two happen close to the same time?   At this rate it won’t be long...

Keep up the good work everyone!

I cranked up my boys’ two new PCs, as well as an older PC, and my Mac, overnight. One of the new PCs predicts over 300k points a day. We are making solid gains on the leaderboard. Nowhere near Eury and jk miner, but we’re cranking it out. I think we were under 100k two days ago.

Agreed, the team is doing great, awesome contributions everyone !

My prediction of 100m (oppoflop ) was late by a day, I think w e’ll be there by midnight tonight!

By coincidence.. corona related.. I have 7 laptops waiting in the basement..(nothing fancy but some i7 thing..too far away to look) Do you think those together could keep up with a good rig?

As a team we are putting down some serious numbers - this is amazing.

Based on what I’ve seen, probably not. GPUs are where it’s at. On my main rig I’m running a GTX 1080, and that’s on a system with with an i7 running at over 5 GHz. The CPU jobs get me 4-6k in credits, whereas the CPU jobs are netting 100-175K per job, and the GPU jobs are taking less time to finish.

I certainly won’t discourage anyone from  participating. The efforts may be relatively small, but they all help reach the goal. The question is just whether you're willing to put up with the noise and electricity costs from having a bunch of machines running.

I don’t know if this is a good thing or not, but I’ve been more interested in racking up the points for the team than actually using my computer for my own use, and as a result haven’t stayed up until the crack of dawn playing video games. Just Cause 3 can wait -  CoVID-19 won't.

Those laptops’ll run hot but if you’re willing to pay for the power they will get CPU work units done slowly. I just replaced my GTX 760 GPU which was working really slowly and the 1660 Super I bought blows it out of the water for folding and gaming.

Most of my points have come from CPU units which it can turn around every 3 hours or so, I run an i7-4770k.

My new 1660 Super arrived and is folding now - I just ran Borderlands 3 on the Ultra settings @ 1080p, I still get some stuttering below 60fps but it’s far better now than with my GTX 760.

Next up: CPU cooling, holy fuck does it go high when the case side panel is installed:

I’m doing my part. Basically I’m some 1950's roller skates to your Bugatti Chiron.

Fyi we're ranked 637 for the month, and we didn't start at the beginning.

Every point counts. I will never discourage anyone from contributing whatever they can to the cause.

My machine is no Chiron, more like a Dinan E39 M5 - modified, older, but still relatively quick although not as quick as some of the speed demons out there.

It’s theore tical anyway. I can only use one at a time due to the security system in place.

Gonna give it a go on my actual PC though. Anything I need to know?
